Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris--until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all...including a serious girlfriend.
But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?
Anna and the French Kiss is a lighthearted read, perfect for summer. It is fun, filled with cute moments and keeps you guessing all the way through.
Anna is a 17-year-old girl from Atlanta who gets sent to Paris from her father to study her senior year there in the School of America in Paris. There she meets Étienne St. Clair and instantly falls in love with him. But the problem - St. Clair is in a serious relationship with his long-time girlfriend - Ellie.
“French name. English accent. American school. Anna confused”
The characters were beautifully written, although you didn't really get a deeper look at most. The relationships between them were brilliant, complicated and exciting. The story, in my opinion was fast-paced and didn't let me put it down all night. It keeps you guessing all the time and you are being filled with cuteness all around.
“Is it possible for home to be a person and not a place?”
It wasn't cheesy as I expected from first glance. It tells the struggles of moving out from your parents house, your friends and everything around you that is so familiar and being thrown in a completely different, new environment and left there to find your way out of the labyrinth. The attempts of not isolating yourself in your personal bubble, but stepping out of your comfort zone, exploring and getting in trouble and experiencing life to the fullest.
You should definitely pick this book up and dive into this world of self-discovery, fear, love and always changing emotions. And I guarantee you won't be able to stop reading!
